Savvy Travelers can pack for any destination on their bucket list.  Start with a plan and then run with it. Your wondering is this possible but it is.  With my many Adventure Travels I have my packing down to a science.  First, you need to know;  will your travel be upscale, backpacking or just a lower key adventure.  Second, find the right bag and Third, decide on the clothes.  I’’m here to help you sort though all of this.

Savvy Travelers Clothes

Selecting the right savvy traveler clothes is all about mix and match.  A couple pair of pants, tops, and an evening outfit for women, and nice shirt for men works well.  My husband even likes the travel tee shirt which washes & dries overnight and looks good.  Let’s not forget the swimsuit.  I always say never leave home without it.

“Travel clothes” such as pant, tops, jackets, dresses, and undergarments travel well with no wrinkles and are light weight.   That means as a girl/woman you can take more clothes. Yes, some may go swish swish when you walk but they wash and wear very well and dry overnight.

Travel Clothes can be purchased at REI, Columbia, Chicos and and sporting goods store. A wide selection of Travel clothes can be used for everyday wear and more upscale travel. Now that’s where Chico’s come in mind.

Savvy Travelers Shoes

Savvy travelers shoes are important part of your wardrobe. These shoes will get you all over the world without any foot problems.  Take time and find the right pair for you.  My go to everyday summer 5 point sandals are by Chaco for women and Keens for men are worth the money.  My shoes took me all over Rome.

My second pair of shoes would be an evening shoe, and a hiking shoe depending on my trip. Shoes are important and it’s okay to spend money on a good pair that will last and protect your feet.

Savvy Travelers Suitcase

Next is to find the ultimate savvy travelers suitcase for your travel. I like the Samsonite spinner carry on which can be found usually on sale at Macy’s.  I also have used an REI rolling bag with a small pullout handle and straps to be used as a backpack for a 6 week trip in Rome. This had the best of both worlds a back pack or a suitcase you can pull. Just a little larger than a carry one, I checked it in but worked perfectly for a month in Italy on and off trains, planes, and automobiles.  If I do take a suitcase, it’s a hard shell Samsonite that has spinners and swivels on a dime and easy for a woman to move along.

Savvy Travelers Packing

For savvy travelers packing I use space bags to pack my clothes.  Yes, they are plastic and bad for the environment but mine are used multiple times and disposed of properly and works well for me. They keep my clothes sorted and will compact  them which means I can bring more clothes.  There are other products out there to help separate your clothes and are safer for the environment.
