hotel review: Chen Sea Resort Spa
The Chen Sea Resort Spa on the Island of Phu Quac Vietnam is a quick flight away from Ho Chi Minh City. The resort is a great place to relax after weeks of travel in Vietnam.

Chen Sea Resort Spa
It is now time to relax in the clear blue water, white sand beaches, and have a massage. Phu Quoc is just a quick flight and so worth the added extra days. If you love to be pampered by massages every day, eat tasty cuisine at the Restaurant, and love beautiful sunsets this is the place for you.
The Chen Sea Resort Spa
The Chen Sea Resort Spa offers 36 spacious villas with unique views of the ocean and grounds. Some Villas offer private Jacuzzi’s or private pools.
I enjoyed a Beach Front Villa right on the beach facing the ocean so I can watch the sunset. The spacious room with wooden floors, bed on a platform, double bathroom vanity and outdoor rain shower which was amazing. There are safes in the room which were a plus and the patio opens up to a beautiful deck with a Jacuzzi and lounge chairs that overlook the ocean.
Chen Sea Resort Spa grounds have lush tropical gardens, infinity pool, Il Ristorante and beachfront Ghe bar. Room & laundry service available, along with sports activities depending on the weather, along with spa treatments. The resort is not an all exclusive but offers all your needs. I was there during the rainy season and not all activities were available but I still enjoyed the resort.
Il Ristorante – Chen Sea Resort Spa
The Il Ristorante serves tasty Mediterranean & Vietnamese cuisine. The restaurant serves a breakfast buffet, offers a lunch menu and a dinner menu for a price. The cuisine was very tasty and we opted to stay and eat all our meals at the resort. One could venture in town which is a ways away and would have to secure a taxi there and back.
Ghe Bar – Chen Sea Resort Spa
Discover the beachfront bar Ghe and enjoy very tasty cocktails, healthy drinks and snacks. Sit in on of the comfy chairs and watch the gorgeous sunset.
Chen Sea Spa – Chen Sea Resort and Spa
Chen Sea Spa was my favorite place which I enjoyed 2 spa treatments a day. I really needed to relax from my travels and what better way to do that than with a massage. The rooms were inspired by an elegant Hoi An Timber house which are a mixture of modern concepts and local culture. There are curtains that hang down for privacy but one can still hear the sounds of tropical birds and the ocean waves. They offer many therapy massages and booking ahead is necessary when you arrive, their pamphlet and pricing is available online.
Location of Chen Sea Resort Spa
The Chen Sea Resort and Spa is located on the Island of Phu Quoc, Vietnam. The Island of Phu Quoc one of the largest islands of Vietnam is less than 45 min flight from Ho Chi Minh City.
I choose to be picked up and returned to the airport by the Resort for a price, the drive is around an hour and can be bumpy at times. A drive through the towns and seeing the people is a plus and great for photo shots. Remember some of the people of the island are poor as you drive through town.

My Review – Chen Sea Resort Spa
The Chen Sea Resort Spa was everything I imagined and more. The towns were poor as we drove through but once we arrived at the resort my mouth dropped open and I was in awe and elated. All I could think of was the spa treatments I was going to schedule.
The Beach Front Villa was amazing, nicely decorated and relaxing. Enjoyed the patio facing the ocean. There I was receiving a stone massage and a Swedish massage listening to the ocean waves and tropical birds. Then afterwards I would just relax on a pool lounge and have fabulous lunch.
I Made sure to catch the sunset each evening at the Ghe Beachside Bar for some lovely photos. Time went by so fast and I would definitely return during peak season to try out more activities. To tell you the truth I did like low season with less people and a more relaxing atmosphere. See my review on Trip Advisor “Gem of A Resort…”
